Patient Information
At your visit, you will be asked about your cardiac symptoms, medical history and family history. Please bring along an updated list of your medications and doses as well as recent blood tests (particularly cholesterol, renal function and glucose). Please also bring the results of previous cardiac assessments to your first appointment.
You may undergo a cardiac ultrasound (echocardiogram) and a resting ECG or exercise test. Please eat as usual before your visit and bring clothes suitable for exercise such as shorts and comfortable rubber-soled shoes.
A current referral is required. There will be a cost for your visit, which you can claim back in part from Medicare.
There is limited free parking in the open car park at 48 Briggs Street (drive over the spikes and we will give you an exit code after your appointment). There is limited street parking nearby. There is wheelchair access if required via a ramp in the ambulance bay.
